It’s Going to be OK

So often nowadays, it seems like stress is driving people up the wall.  They struggle with trying to juggle their crazy, busy lives with their job, family and hobbies and friends.

I think it’s time to slow down a little and relax.  Stop trying to save the world single handedly, you can’t.  People have been trying for years and it hasn’t worked.

Take a deep breath, everything is going to be ok.  God’s got this.  He’s been saving the world for six thousand years, he can handle it.

*disclaimer!  This is probably not the wisest thing in the world, but it does put things in perspective*

Try to imagine what it would be like to be blind.  Then open your eyes and see how green the grass is, and how alive water looks.  If you can’t see any trees or water, chances are you’re in town, and you need to take a drive into the country.  Take some time and think about how good God is, and I think you’ll see that it really is going to be ok.  Make some goals, places you want to be in a few years, and keep the big picture in mind while you work toward them.

Life is a vapor, so it’s best to live in a way you won’t ever regret while you’re here.  Enjoy life, work hard, love the Lord and your family, make good memories, and laugh a lot.  It really is ok.  And if and when life hits you out of nowhere, you’ll have those memories, and fewer regrets, and can look forward to an eternity in heaven with no more tears and no more pain, just everlasting joy and peace.

Thanks for this, Emily 🙂 What you’re sharing is so important! I agree! I also think it’s important to meditate on (and speak out) God’s promises when you’re going through a difficult time. My favorite is Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee.” Of course, of equal importance is to also think about His promises and blessings when things are going well…it helps us to be thankful to God, knowing that all the good things we get to enjoy in our lives come from our Father. I am so thankful for His love for us! We are extremely blessed! And He deserves all the glory for it!
